2014 Americas Team Camp Presented by Nike-Toronto

On Point was on hand for the 2014 Americas Team Camp presented by NIKE which was held in Canada for the first time at the Mattamy Athletic Centre(Old Maple Leaf Gardens) in downtown Toronto.
The event featured 60 athletes from 6 different countries including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico & Puerto Rico participating in intensive basketball drills and competition.

Canada was represented by:

The video features Canada Basketball Sr. Men’s Team Head Coach and Portland Trailblazers Assistant Coach Jay Triano as well as Tyrell Gumbs-Frater, Lindell Wiggington, Isiaha Mike, Mexico’s Alejandro Tostado and Toronto Raptors 2014 First Round Draft pick Bruno Caboclo(Brazil). Canadian Junior Men’s National Team & Ryerson Rams Head Coach Roy Rana was also instrumental in the camp lending his knowledge and expertise to all the players involved in the event!
The event was amazing for the athletes as they had the opportunity to be coached by various NBA coaches and athletes from around the league.
Canada took the shooting contest, the 3-on-3 competition, the 5-on5 team scrimmage competition and the MVP as well as Isiaha Mike took home the award for the player of the tournament! Canada is on the “come up”!
