TORONTO, ONTARIO – Canada Basketball will conduct open tryouts for the 2015 Cadet Men’s National Team (CMNT) on Thursday, December 18 at Humber College – North Campus from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The tryouts are open to Canadian athletes born January 1, 1999 or later and have a valid Canadian passport. Athletes should arrive at 5:30 p.m. for registration and are required to bring a valid passport or birth certificate. Open tryouts will be closed to media.
National team coaching staff will identify players for potential inclusion in the assessment camp for the U16 CMNT camp that will run from December 19 to 21 at Humber College – North. The selected athletes will join athletes who have already been identified by Canada Basketball.
Canada’s CMNT will compete in the FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Men, June 2015 in Argentina, for qualification to the 2016 FIBA World U17 Championships.
