Game: Friday December 18th Worcester Wolves 108 Surry Scorchers 92.

Next Game: Sunday December 27th vs. the London Lions 3pm local time.

This past weekend we played the Surrey Scorchers. We had a long week of practice to prepare for this game. It was a game we wanted to win to maintain a gap between us and the team sitting in fourth place in our league. A new player was added to our team who was previously  playing in Portugal this season before he joined us. We spent a lot of time getting him accustomed to what we do on offense and defense. We knew he would play a lot of minutes as Orlan Jackman is 6″7 and both of our starting big man are hurt. We were a little shorthanded but all that meant was next man up.
We came out on fire as a team and opened up a big lead. Surrey has a good team and great coach so they closed the gap and went on a run. We were up by 21 at half time. It was a hard fought game. They managed to close the gap to 7 points in the 3rd quarter before we went on another 7-0 run to open up another a double-digit lead. I was able to lead the team as the point guard with 11 points  while shooting 5/6 from the field and added 6 asssists. It was a great game for us and was the most points we scored as a team this season in front of our home crowd as we managed to put up a monster 108 points. Now we gear up to play the London Lions and I look forward to playing against my Toronto friend Nick Lewis. It should be a great game on our home floor! The fans displayed huge support and we look forward to to giving them another great team performance.
