Canada wins Gold at FIBA U16 Americas for the first time

Canada’s U16 Women’s national team ventured to Puebla, Mexico to do one thing…win gold for the first time in the FIBA U16 Americas Championship and that they did with a nail-biting and thrilling 72-71 over Brazil in the Championship game.
The Canucks war led by Alyssa Jerome who was solid all tournament, and poured in 17 points and 12 rebounds. While Hailey Brown was just short of a double-double with 14pts and 9 rebs.

On Point Basketball was on hand as the Champions came home via Pearson International Airport to great family, friends and Canada Basketball staff.
