Former NBA All-Star Jamaal Magloire starts foundation in hometown

ON POINT was On Location at the Thompson Hotel in Toronto as former NBA All-Star, Toronto Raptors Assistant Coach and Toronto native Jamal Magloire launched the Jamaal Magloire Foundation alongside the basketball community and a bevy of Toronto-based celebrities.

The Foundation will assist students in getting a post-secondary education. Magloire, who has been giving back to his community for well over a decade, decided this was the right time to officially launch the foundation to take his initiatives to the next level.

On hand were several supporters and friends of Jamaal including, former Head Coach Simeon Mars, Dwayne DeRosario, Mr. X, Maestro Fresh Wes, Cabral Richards, Nav “The Superfan” Bhatia and many more. The event was coordinated by Tanya Phillips.
Magloire’s parents were also on hand for the special occasion as well as students in his community program.

The evening, featuring a poignant speech by Magloire, also included food and refreshments and was a resounding success.
