On Point was On Location with Nike and some top Canadian Prep & High Schools in Toronto, Canada where we were able to catch up to NBA All-Star and Toronto Raptors top dog Demar Derozan.
Demar talked about his Come Out of Nowhere story as well as topics such as being a role model and inspiration for the young ballers, hard work, fighting doubt and mental toughness. The Compton, California native also dished on the success of players coming out of Canada, specifically Toronto including Andrew Wiggins & Cory Joseph and the impact these and other Canadian ballers are having on the NBA.

“Nike “Come out of Nowhere”
Last year, the impossible happened. A deficit so hopeless, only the extraordinary could conquer it. But a gutty shot and a stunning chase-down block later, and the dream was realized. A championship with its roots in the unexpected has now led to an NBA season where out-of-nowhere triumph is expected.

What will happen this year?

There’s just no predicting this game.”

Schools in attendance
Vaughan Prep, Pine Ridge, Pickering, Athlete Institute, Orangeville Prep, and Lincoln Prep.
