Games: Week of November 23, 2015
Friday Nov 27th: (H)Worcester 76 (A)Leeds FORCE 66
This past weekend was big for us. We played back to back games Friday and Saturday and needed these two wins to maintain a top 3 spot in the league. We were able to pull off a successful week that stemmed from a great week of preparation and practice. Friday night was a home game in front of our amazing fans. (The Wolfpack). We put on a great performance for them and came on top with the victory. I was able to lead our team that game as the point guard with a 20 point, 5 assist &4 rebound performance. It was a quick turn around though as we had to get rest and use this momentum for the following night.
Saturday Nov 28th: (A)Worcester 83 (H)Bristol Academy FLYERS 70
After a hard fought game we travelled to Bristol England to take on the Bristol Flyers. They are a tough team that doesn’t stop attacking and have a solid team and a big man from Iowa State University who is a great rebounder. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but we were able to pull off another win by pulling away in the 4th quarter, making tough shots and getting important stops on defence. Guys were definitely tired from the back to back games and the travel but we used our depth and stuck together. Now we get some time off and are able to attend are massage sessions to gear up and get our bodies right for our upcoming game. It was a successful week for my team and I. And the grind continues.
